«Este es un acto de paz, apoyamos a Rusia en la defensa de la paz», señalaba el dictador Daniel Ortega sobre la invasión rusa al territorio ucraniano. De esta forma el dictador sandinista mostraba todo su apoyo a Rusia en su decisión.
Las palabras del dictador fueron de las primeras de los líderes mundiales en dar su apoyo a la terrible invasión de Ucrania, algo que occidente ha catalogado de «grave error» y que tendrá sus consecuencias.
El presidente nicaragüense afirmó: «Expresamos al pueblo de Rusia, expresamos al presidente Putin, nuestra amplia solidaridad y nuestro aliento en esta lucha que el pueblo ruso está librando por la paz», «esto es un completo acto de paz», señalaba Ortega.
El viceministro ruso de igual manera visitó Nicaragua antes de la invasión, para buscar todo el apoyo de Ortega ante las agresiones a Ucrania.
Durante el encuentro, el viceministro ruso confirmó que su país seguirá dando apoyo tecnológico y militar al ejército sandinista de Nicaragua, el cual comenzó tras el triunfo de la revolución sandinista en 1979. «Durante más de 40 años hemos proporcionado mucho soporte tecnológico y militar a su ejército. Seguiremos proporcionando apoyo, y trabajaremos también en esta dirección», señalaba el viceministro de defensa ruso.
De igual manera, este jueves el presidente de la Duma Rusa visitó la Asamblea Nacional, en donde se le realizó una sesión solemne, y el dictator no descarta el envió de tropas nicaragüenses que vayan a apoyar a Rusia.
