El expresidente de Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández, se encuentra en el centro de la atención internacional después de ser enjuiciado en Estados Unidos por presuntos vínculos con el narcotráfico. El juicio, que comenzó este martes 5 de marzo, ha generado un gran interés debido a las implicaciones políticas y legales que podría tener.
En el juicio Juan Orlando Hernández ha testificado la implicaciones del régimen de Daniel Ortega en el narcotráfico a nivel internacional, señalando incluso que desde Nicaragua opera la mayor red, apoyada directamente por el dictador sandinista que gobierna a Nicaragua desde el año 2007.
Cabe recalcar que son muchos los señalamientos hacía la dictadura sandinista, involucrada de igual manera en los últimos años, en el trato de personas migrantes sirviendo a Nicaragua como un puente fácil de transitar hacía los Estados Unidos de América.
Las acusaciones contra Hernández se centran en presuntos vínculos con el narcotráfico y el crimen organizado durante su mandato. Las autoridades estadounidenses sostienen que el expresidente habría colaborado con redes criminales para facilitar el transporte de drogas a través de Honduras hacia los Estados Unidos.
El proceso judicial en Estados Unidos proporcionará un escenario crucial para determinar la culpabilidad o inocencia de Hernández. Se espera que testigos, pruebas documentales y declaraciones se presenten durante el juicio para respaldar o refutar las acusaciones.
