El hijo consentido del matrimonio gobernante en Nicaragua, Laureano Ortega Murillo, vuelve a estar en el ojo del huracán tras las revelaciones del periodista Miguel Mendoza: habría ordenado la construcción de una lujosa mansión en Villa Fontana, Managua, con un valor estimado entre 8 y 11 millones de dólares, edificada en un terreno de aproximadamente 2.5 a 3 manzanas, mientras el régimen que representa promueve una campaña oficial contra la corrupción.
“La residencia cuenta con dos niveles, seis habitaciones y seis baños. Además, posee una cocina con dos islas y acabados de lujo, como pisos y gradas de mármol Carrara importado desde Italia”, detalló Mendoza, quien afirmó que la investigación le llevó varios meses, basada en testimonios directos y en fotografías tanto internas como externas del inmueble.
El hijo del dictador Daniel Ortega, mandó a traer numerosas piezas desde Italia, el único país en donde se pueden conseguir para decorar el interior de la Mega Mansión. El desarrollo de este inmueble altamente costoso se da mientras Rosario Murillo ha encarcelado a Bayardo Arce, Álvaro Baltodano y a su hijo, acusandoles de corrupción y acumulación de riquezas desde sus posiciones en el gobierno.
Laureano Ortega ya antes ha demostrado ser un amante al lujo y las vanidades, pues en numerosas ocasiones se le ha visto portanto ostentosos relojes de la marca Rolex, valuados en más de 40 mil dólares estadounidenses cada uno, además de viajar constantemente a Italia y comer en los restaurantes más costosos.
