El reconocido cantautor Otto de la Rocha falleció este lunes 25 de mayo, después de permanecer por varios días internado en el hospital militar de la ciudad de Managua.
Otto de la Rocha falleció a los 86 años de edad y con una reconocida trayectoría artistica de 77 años, en la cual obtuvo varios reconocimientos.
La causa de la muerte de Otto de la Rocha fue por complicaciones de salud por diversas enfermedades que le aquejaban durante todos estos años.
El fallecimiento del artista fue anunciado por Rosario Murillo en un comunicado que brindó a los diferentes medios oficialistas del país.
Dentro de los diferentes reconocimientos que recibió Otto de la Rocha durante su vida están La Orden José Dolores Estrada de la Asamblea Nacional y el Doctorado Honoris Causa de la UNAN.

Otto de la Rocha era reconocido por el programa radial Lencho Catarrán en cual era transmitido por la Radio Ya, y era ampliamente escuchado en el país.
Don Otto de la Rocha fue también creador del personaje Aniceto Prieto, quien representaba a un hombre humilde que salía con varias ocurrencias.
«Tuve que crear al personaje para el programa, para que esté de pronto no fuera tan aburrido», comentó en una entrevista que le hicieron en una medio de comunicación.
