La Organización Panamericana de la Salud (OPS) denunció por medio de su directora Carissa Etienne que han efectuado varias solicitudes para llevar a cabo verificaciones in situ en Nicaragua para constatar la situación de la pandemia, sin embargo el régimen de Ortega no les permite dar el debido seguimiento.
El pasado 11 de mayo un total de cinco ex ministros de salud de Nicaragua escribieron una carta a la OPS en donde denuncia un riesgo extremo ante la carencia de acciones por parte del gobierno de Daniel Ortega.
La directora de la Organización Panamericana de la Salud, Carissa Etienne expresa su profunda preocupación ante la negativa del régimen sandinista de brindar una atención adecuada a las medidas que se tienen que tomar para evitar la propagación de la pandemia.
Etienne sostiene que desde que la Organización Mundial de la Salud declaró el brote de coronavirus como una pandemia global, la OPS y OMS han brindado cooperación técnica y financiera al régimen de Nicaragua.
La OPS denuncia que la información detallada por el gobierno de Ortega a la organización siempre ha sido irregular y llena de dudas que de respuestas.
