Nicaragua entrará en cuarentena en los próximos días según información que maneja el gobierno de los Estados Unidos, que recientemente por medio de la embajada en Managua anunció a sus ciudadanos que se preparen con agua, comida y otros insumos para permanecer en sus hogares debido a las restricciones que se implementarán en el país.
Nicaragua es el único país de todo el continente americano que no ha implementado una cuarentena preventiva para reducir los brotes de contagio del nuevo coronavirus.
Las fronteras del país todavía no se han cerrado a diferencia de los demás países de la región centroamericana que llevan más de un mes con las fronteras cerradas y con medidas extremas para contener la propagación del virus.
En Nicaragua se reportan varios casos positivos de coronavirus en la ciudad de Chinandega, la cual está siendo considerada como el principal brote de la enfermedad en el país.
En varios hospitales de la ciudad de Managua también hay una gran cantidad de casos que han resultado positivo, lo cual aumenta las alarmas.
Una cuarentena que llega tarde
Los especialistas señalan que una cuarentena llegaría muy tarde ya que se debió haber aplicado cuando se detectó el primer caso positivo del país y de esa manera evitar la rápida propagación del virus a lo largo y ancho de Nicaragua.
Mientras tanto el régimen sandinista sigue convocando manifestaciones, movilizaciones y concentraciones en diversos municipios de todo el país contrario a la recomendaciones de la Organización Mundial de la Salud.
