Según filtración, esta noche han salido del país alrededor de 300 oficiales represores enviados por Díaz-Canel al dictador Daniel Ortega para reprimir manifestaciones en Nicaragua, sin embargo estos han sido sacados del país con carácter urgente para apoyar la contención de las manifestaciones masivas en Cuba.
Este domingo se dieron un sinnúmero de protestas masivas en varias localidades del país caribeño, exigiendo la libertad y el fin de la dictadura comunista que dirige la isla desde hace décadas.
En una conferencia de prensa televisada, el presidente cubano Miguel Díaz-Canel se pronunció acusando a Estados Unidos de incentivar las protestas masivas y llamó a sus partidarios para salir a las calles a defender la revolución comunista.
A mediados de 2018, cuando estaban los tranques y barricadas el gobierno de Cuba envío más de 1,000 efectivos para apoyar la denominada operación limpieza en el país, después la cantidad de estos cubanos represores fue disminuyendo.
