El jefe del ejercito de Nicaragua, el General Julio Cesar Avilés será sancionado por el gobierno de Estados Unidos por apoyar a los paramilitares sandinistas con el abastecimiento de armas.
El ejercito de Nicaragua ha sido uno de los principales contribuyentes con la policía sandinista y los paramilitares financiados por el sandinismo.
El general Julio Cesar Avilés ha estado comprometido en el apoyo de estos grupos, a los cuales se les ha apoyado con tácticas, estrategias y armamento.
Así lo confirmo una fuente cercana a la embajada norteamericana en Managua, donde se conoce que el departamento de estado de los Estados Unidos fue ordenado por la Nica Act, para investigar a todos los responsables de la represión hacía el pueblo nicaragüense.
La Constitución nicaragüense establece que no puede existir ningún grupo armado aparte del ejercito y la policía, y si llega a organizarse un grupo como tal, es obligación directa del ejercito nacional el desarme total de dicho grupo.
Sin embargo, los paramilitares sandinistas actuaron bajo el consentimiento del ejercito y para colmo, fueron ellos los que proporcionaron las armas, según la investigación.
