La co-dictadora de Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, ha ordenado a las fuerzas militares emprender la búsqueda y arresto de Nestor Moncada Lau, antiguo asesor y cercano colaborador del dictador Daniel Ortega. Esta decisión se enmarca dentro de la reciente ola represiva que el régimen ha intensificado contra figuras históricas del sandinismo.
La acción contra Moncada Lau se suma a las detenciones de Bayardo Arce, Álvaro Baldodano y otros dirigentes vinculados al sandinismo de los años ochenta, quienes en su momento ocuparon puestos de poder e influencia dentro del Frente Sandinista. La orden contra este exasesor refleja el endurecimiento interno de la dictadura, que ahora dirige su aparato de persecución incluso contra antiguos aliados del orteguismo.
