El Departamento del Tesoro de Estados Unidos reveló un mal manejo de los fondos económicos del Instituto Nicaragüense de Seguridad Social (INSS), y acuso a su presidente de promover el lavado de dinero.
Esta información revelada por Estados Unidos, pone en serios aprietos a la banca nacional del país, donde la institución estatal tiene depositado dinero.
Las sanciones puestas por Estados Unidos a Roberto López, el director del INSS, indican que López esta involucrado en una red que utiliza los recursos de la seguridad social en proyectos personales y privados promoviendo el lavado de dinero.
Para el analista económico, Eliseo Núñez, estas acusaciones son muy graves, ya que indican que los bancos han facilitado la relación financiera con este dinero.
La banca nacional se encuentra en aprietos, ya que Estados Unidos tiene bajo la mira este dinero, y si los bancos permiten transacciones que resulten fraudulentas, corren el riesgo de ser sancionados por el Departamento del Tesoro.
Estados Unidos también señaló la existencia de empresas fantasmas, creadas por el régimen sandinista, para llevar a cabo grandes actos de corrupción.
Lo más recomendable es que la banca nacional proceda a cerrar las cuentas bancarias del INSS para evitar posibles sanciones, pero dicho cierre afectaría la operatividad de la entidad estatal.
