Félix Maradiaga sostuvo un encuentro con autoridades del Departamento de Estado de Estados Unidos para exponer la represión ejercida por el gobierno de Ortega-Murillo. “No estamos solos, ni adentro ni afuera”, expresó. Además, se informó sobre la imposición de nuevas sanciones a 250 personas vinculadas al régimen.
Félix Maradiaga, director de la Fundación Libertad y exiliado político nicaragüense, mantuvo el lunes una serie de encuentros con altos representantes del Departamento de Estado de la Administración de Donald Trump en los Estados Unidos.
Aunque no reveló los nombres de los funcionarios presentes, Maradiaga señaló que asistió junto a otros miembros de la oposición y valoró la disposición al diálogo mostrada por la nueva administración estadounidense.
“Agradezco la receptividad de la actual administración y reconozco la actitud abierta y sincera de las nuevas autoridades del Departamento de Estado durante nuestro encuentro”, expresó Maradiaga en su cuenta de X.
